Light Sculpture — Glazer Children’s Museum

Interactive Lighting & Audio Installation

A responsive environment where light and sound react to human interaction

Project Overview

The Light Sculpture at the Glazer Children's Museum is an interactive installation designed to engage children through light, sound, and touch.

Created by artist Ivan Toth Depeña and implemented in collaboration with McKenzie Craft, we were brought in to engineer and install the core technical systems behind the experience.

The objective was to transform a creative concept into a reliable, interactive system—allowing users to trigger dynamic lighting and immersive audio in real time.

Scope of Work

  • Power system design and installation for the full installation
  • LED system consultation, layout, and assembly workflow
  • Interactive control system design using conductive touch points
  • Arduino-based trigger system development and integration
  • DMX lighting system integration and programming
  • Immersive audio system design and synchronization
  • On-site installation and system deployment
  • System Engineering

  • Custom conductive trigger system using stainless steel touch surfaces
  • Arduino-powered control logic for real-time interaction detection
  • DMX signal integration for dynamic lighting sequences
  • Synchronized audio playback triggered by user interaction
  • Distributed speaker system for immersive sound coverage
  • Stable power distribution across lighting, control, and audio systems
  • System calibration, testing, and real-world optimization

Designed to Engage and Inspire

An immersive installation where every interaction creates a moment.
